Data sets of 40 years hindcast of waves for the four principal areas considered by this project. The North Sea area to be considered is south of 56ºN with an horizontal resolution of 5km. For the Irish Sea the lateral boundaries from the NorthEast Atlantic will be used. For the NorthEast Atlantic, the area to be studied will be south of the United Kingdom including Azores and Canary Islands. And for the Mediterranean Sea will be considered. Meteorological forcing data produced by all tasks for WP1 will be used to test the integration.

The state-of-the-art wave model WAM will be set up for each area.

The model will necessarily be subjected to the standard verification and calibration before going into the production of the 40-years data sets.
