The objective of the task is to develop adequate probabilistic models of the environment that are tailor made for load and load effect analysis of floating structures, their mooring arrangement and riser systems. The study will include both short-term and long-term description of wind and current and the joint description of these elements with the waves.

The developed models will be developed and verified using measured data from different locations such as the Norwegian, British and Dutch sector of the North Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, the West Africa coast and New Zealand. Further, laboratory and model data will be applied.
